All businesses, including home-based businesses, operating in the City of Prince Albert must have a valid business license which has been approved by the Department of Economic Development and Planning before business can commence.
Business Licenses are required to provide a level of regulation for businesses within the City. It is used as a tool for the City to ensure compliance with land-use and building regulations, to gather land-use information and to facilitate planning decisions.

Commercial Application (pdf)
Required for any business located in a Commercial or Industrial Zone. This is the most common form for potential new businesses.
Home Occupation License (pdf)
This form is for potential Home-Based Businesses only. Possible applicants include esthetic companies, consulting-type businesses, etc. The difference between this form and the commercial Based Business License application is that as a home-based business there are a number of regulations thatmust be adhered to in addition to that of a commercial business. The regulations are outlined on the form.
Transient License Application (pdf)
This application is for all other businesses that do not fit into the home-based business or commercial business descriptions. This includes fruit sellers,direct sellers, etc.
Development Permit (pdf)
A prerequisite for a commercial business license.
